The watch has a seven jewel grade 610 stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 23941577 which dates it back to around 1921.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has an inscription from the Royal Oak Lodge (a Masonic Lodge based at the Trafalgar Hotel in Greenwich) to the secretary as a token of esteem for service from 1896 to 1924.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is hallmarked for Chester 1925 with a case maker’s mark for the Birmingham case maker Aaron Dennison. The company made most of the cases for Waltham UK. The case is in good condition, just a little slight unevenness to the back but nothing serious.
The glass lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial is in good condition, just a short faint hairline underneath the subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel pin-set hands.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
