Antique silver Tavannes pocket watch
Antique silver Tavannes pocket watch.
The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 800 silver and there are Continental marks inside the back cover, together with the mark for the Tavannes Watch Company. The front and sides of the case are in good condition. The hinged case back has some marking and unevenness.
The glass lens has one small mark over number 12 but otherwise is in lovely condition (some white reflection showing in the photos).
The dial has a couple of faint hairlines but not too noticeable to the naked eye. Original ornate hands, double sunk dial and outer minute markers.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
