Antique silver Russells Ltd silver pocket watch and albert.
The watch has a key-wound movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Russells Ltd, 18 Church St, Liverpool, and it is all protected by an inner fitted cover which has 'The Time O Day' trade mark.
The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Chester 1911 together with a maker's mark for the Lancashire watch case maker George Burt. The case is in good condition, just a little slight unevenness to the back but nothing too detrimental at all.
The watch glass is in good condition, just a few very minor chips around the bevelled edge but barely noticeable to the naked eye.
The dial is signed Russells Lim'd, 18 Church Street, Liverpool. There are a couple of short faint hairlines at the bottom of the dial.
The watch comes with a Victorian single silver chain which measures 33.5cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. Each of the graduated links has the lion silver mark. Also included is an 1896 Afrikan 2 shillings coin which has been converted into a fob. The one side of the fob has an image of President Johannes Paulus Kruger while the other has the South African Republic coat of arms. The chain and fob weigh 68g.
The watch and chain come in an antique presentation box.
