Antique silver Record pocket watch & chain
Antique silver Record Dreadnought ‘Trenton’ pocket watch and chain.
The watch has a full signed 7-jewel (3 adjustments) stem-winding movement which is working nicely.
The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1930. The case is in good condition, just general light surface marks, nothing serious at all.
The acrylic lens has a light 3mm scratch and a little light marking but nothing too serious.
The dial has the remains of the text, Record Dreadnought, together with the name of the original retailer, Jay’s. The dial is in lovely condition and has blued steel hands in the Breguet style.
The watch comes with a silver double watch chain, with each chain measuring 21cm long. There is also a 1917 silver fob from the Royal Navy Barracks at Chatham with the image of a man playing bowls to the front.
The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
