Antique silver Omega pocket watch, 1912
Antique silver Omega pocket watch, 1912.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Omega name and it has the serial number 4,333,319 which dates it back to 1912. The movement is protected by an inner hinged which is also signed Omega, and has details of medals won at the Paris Grand Prix in 1900.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is silver and there are Continental hallmarks inside both of the case backs. Inside the case back there is some wording which has been scratched in, it looks like “amour Gabriel”. The case is nicely decorated on all sides, a couple of small rubbed areas to the sides where the pattern has flattened but not detrimental at all.
The glass lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial has taken a knock towards the edge of the dial at number 7 and there are several hairline cracks.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
