Antique silver watch chain with Royal coat of arms compass.
The chain measures 31cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The T-bar is hallmarked for 1886 with a maker’s mark for HB… this same maker’s mark is also on the clasp.
Each of the graduated links on the chain have the lion silver mark.
Also included is a compass fob with a rope twist edge. There are no hallmarks but it has tested as being silver. The glass lens is in lovely condition, as is the fully functioning compass. The reverse of the compass has Queen Victorian’s Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom.
There is also an 1867 five cent piece which an owner has drilled to make an additional fob.
Total weight 56.9g.
