For your consideration this fine rosewood sarcophagus form tea caddy circa 1830. The caddy is beautifully decorated with mother of pearl inlay and is raised on bun feet. Internally it is divided into two sections where the tea would have been kept. Original lock with a working key and original rosewood veneer on mahogany interior. Other than a small chip to the right front corner the tea caddy is in exception condition with a rich colour to the rosewood that only age can bring. The mother of pearl is also in very, very good condition with the only loss to the lock area.
