A late 17th cent oak bible box which sits on an early 18th cent oak stand. The low height of this piece makes it ideal for using as a coffee table. The box has very attractive and completely original carving on the front and sides, the stand has small turned legs and pad feet. It has all its excellent old colour and is in good strong condition. Sizes: 30 ½ “(77cms) wide, 16”(41cms) deep, 15”(39cms) high. Date circa 1680.

I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book.
