Antique Regency style mahogany Bergere library armchair, with buttoned leather cushions, plus cane sides & back. It’s of high quality & in excellent condition. At first glance this chair does look like an original Regency piece, but it is in fact probably only about 50 years old. The leather cushions are naturally aged & have a great colour. This armchairs has lots of nice features. The mahogany frame is reeded on the back & around the bottom of the seat. The front legs are also reeded & the back legs are sabre shaped. The leather arm rests are hand tacked onto the frame & the legs have brass capped casters. This is a great looking chair, which would grace any library, study or living room.
