Antique Inlaid Mahogany Carlton House Desk
A stunning Carlton house desk, beautifully made from mahogany & walnut, with satinwood inlays. This dates from around the 1950’s period & whoever made this had a very good attention to detail.
It is of extremely fine quality, with many lovely features. The drawer and door fronts are bordered with beautiful satin wood and ebony inlays. This has lovely brass handles and a brass gallery on the top. The legs are beautifully carved and fluted, the drawers are solid wood construction with fine dovetailed joints.
The writing surface is a top quality green leather, with gold tooling around the edges. This desk is beautifully finished on all sides, with the back section being as nice as the front, so it can be used as a free standing item.
Above the writing surface are three cupboards, small drawers & compartments.
We have just had this French polished, it is in excellent condition for its age.

Depth – 24 inches , 61 cm
Height – 42 inches , 107 cm
