This is an antique glazed bookcase. An English, light oak display or hall cabinet, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Wonderfully slim-line proportion and fine English cabinetry
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Light oak presents rich biscuit hues with wisps of medullary rays
Glazed upper cabinet presents a bright appearance and free of marks
Right-hand cabinet door dressed with an inset, working brass lined lock — key present
Three shelves to interior, each of adjustable height
Generous depth of 18.5cm (7.25") ideal for novels or smaller ornaments
Inset sliding clasps hold the left-hand door securely
Base arranged with a pair of drawers over a useful cupboard
Drawer fascia dressed with brass drop handles over decorated backplates
