Antique compact mirror rare ZENETTE powder compact collector's piece vintage powder mirror

This compact is suitable for use with modern loose face powder or as a handbag mirror.

A rare & very beautiful Zenette powder compact made c.1940. This is so delightful - such a find. The lid is satinized gold enamel with enamel faux crackle glaze & adorned with exquisite hand painted white Forget-me-nots, Lily of the valley & Bramble leaves. Such a wonderful English antique! The mirror is excellent & gives a perfect reflection. The mirror bezel is gilded & stamped 'MADE IN ENGLAND'. The whole compact is in excellent condition & will never need to be cleaned as it superbly well made from highly quality materials. The inner lid is typical of Zenette powder compacts of this era & stamped 'MADE IN ENGLAND' - not signed. All clasps & hinges work perfectly.
The under side of the inner lid & powder well are beautifully gilded. The original pouch, puff & sifter are present & in excellent condition. Even the original presentation box is in good condition.

This delightful collector's piece measures 7 cm X 7 cm & weighs 95.8 grams.
