This is an antique gadget cane. An English, mahogany and brass walking stick with concealed compass and flask, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

Ebonised mahogany cane with dark hues throughout
Brass ball handle in appealing golden finish
Rounded ball handle feels good in the hand, with a pleasing balance
Screw-top ball reveals a working compass with cardinal and inter-cardinal points
