Antique “Express” English Lever pocket watch
An antique “Express” English Lever pocket watch by J G Graves of Sheffield.
The watch has a key-winding movement which is working well. The movement is protected by a fitted inner cover. A winding key is included.
The watch measures 52.8mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1898 with a maker’s mark for the case maker Charles Huton Errington. The case has light surface marking / wear from use and some mild bruising to the back but overall it is in nice condition for an 1890s piece.
The watch glass is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark from use.
The signed white enamel dial has several very faint hairline cracks to the bottom of the sub seconds dial but otherwise it is in nice condition.
The watch has its original gold hands and blued steel sub seconds hand
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
