Antique English Oak & Silver Plated Cigar Box
A fabulous, unusual and very striking cigar caddy or humidor a fabulous showy piece for a desk or bar.
The box is made from solid English Oak and trimmed in silver plated mounts, the underside of the legs marked for the well renowned Victorian silversmith, Daniel & Arter.
The two circular cigar caddies, hold six cigars each and in between is the match safe where matches would have been stored. The front of this vesta has a presentation banner, vacant and un-engraved. The figural finial of the lid is a classical figure of a lady holding up a ring or wreath of some kind, the figure washed in gold.
The drawer opens to reveal a fitted interior which at some point has been lined in navy blue velvet.
