A handsome and very unusual decanter and glass set sitting on a fitted tray with a pierce or reticulated gallery.

The tray is beautifully made, a heavy construction with two very stylish handles and sitting on four original bun feet. The tray is fitted to accommodate the square hobnail cut crystal decanter and four cut crystal glasses.

The underside of the silver plated tray is fully marked for the Birmingham silversmith, JOHN BISHOP CHATTERLEY.

Excellent condition, the tray spanning 14 1/4" handle to handle x 7 3/4" foot to foot x 9 3/4" tall to top of decanter stopper. Edwardian in era, dating to c.1900.
