Antique Chest of Drawers Money Box Bank
This is a superb and rare to find Antique Money Box in the form of a Chest of Drawers with Mother of Pearl Escutcheons. The top removes to reveal a coin slot which is missing the Escutcheon. It was common in the 19th century to hide coins in a suitable place or item such as this chest of drawers with the only way to remove them by breaking it up, as there’s no hole at the base. As a consequence these are rare to find as most have not survived.
It is in good condition but does exhibit a little age-related wear with a few very light marks to the surface but nothing major and it measures approximately 14cm wide by 13.5cm high by 6cm deep.
Please take a look at the photos to evaluate the condition for yourself, as they form part of the description and if you wish to ask us anything about the item, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Payment is accepted via bank transfer, debit/credit card (via SumUp secure payments - we will provide a payment link) or Paypal. Payment by cash on collection is also acceptable. Cheques are not accepted.
