Here we have a charming miniature sewing kit or etui in an engraved brass case dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. The kit contains a thimble and a needlecase / bobbin for holding needles or pins and three different coloured threads. Everything fits neatly into the brass bullet shaped case.

Sewing and needlework are enjoying a huge revival in popularity at the moment and this would be a lovely item for anyone who is a keen sewer. It is also a very practical little sewing kit that fits neatly into a pocket or a small piece of luggage when you're travelling for any urgent repairs or reattaching buttons.

The kit is in good condition with no dings or dents. There is a very small hole at one end of the case where there was probably originally a small ring so that the kit would go onto a chain or chatelaine. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

When closed up, the bullet shaped case is 4.7cm / 1.8" long.
