Always highly sought-after and collectible, this is a good sized example, probably originally a powder box. These modest boxes date tot he late nineteenth century or early Edwardian era, around 1890 / 1900.

The lid is inset with a stunning and beautifully executed Cat's face with great detail and sporting his original amber glass eyes.

Excellent condition measuring 3" in diameter x 1 3/4" in height.
