Antique Boarded Table Desk Box

17th Century boarded Oak desk / bible box with 3 interior drawers.
The blacksmith made Iron hinges & lock plate are all original as are the handles on the interior drawers.
The front of the desk has original carving witht he initials carved beneath the lock plate reading R I for the original owner.
The colour is a rich mellow oak with good patination, the interior is a nice untouched dry finish.
Photographs show a few old repairs & the fact that the locking hasp has been missing for a long time.
This shows that the box is honest & has been used for generations.
We purchased the box in North Wales & it may well have originated in the area.
