Antique 1912 silver Swiss pocket watch.
The watch has a nicely jewelled key-winding movement which is working well. A winding key is included. The movement is protected by an hinged cover inner cover. Originally there would have also been a second fitted cover over the movement but this is missing.
The watch measures 55.5 mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are import marks inside the case back for London 1912 with the importers mark for George Stockwell. The case has mild bruising to the back and a couple of small "dings" to the edges but overall it is in nice condition for a 1910s piece.
From 1 June 1907, Stockwells acted as assay agents, facilitating the import into Britain of foreign gold and silver items, which had to be assayed and hallmarked in a UK assay office before being released for retail.
The watch glass is in nice condition.
The white dial is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark from use. Original hands, sub seconds dial and an outer minute track.
