Antique 1903 Waltham full hunter pocket watch.
Antique 1903 Waltham full hunter pocket watch.
The watch has a stem-winding movement grade 625 which is working well. The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement with 17 jewels, Church 1892 Starwheel regulator, jewelled pallets and damascening, all major extra expense at the time of manufacture. The movement is signed A.W.W.Co. Waltham, Mass and the serial number 13276836 which dates it back to 1903. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch itself measures 50.8mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case is in good condition with only minor marking from use. The front cover has monogrammed initials. The movement is later to the case although correct.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in nice condition.
The signed dial has a faint hairline crack to the outer edge at 8 o'clock although hardly noticeable but otherwise it is in nice condition.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
