A beautiful mid-century Anglo-Indian coffee table with intricate carved and bone inlay details. The border has a beautiful floral carved detail with further intricate inlay patterns on show. There is also a lovely string inlay on both ends of the table with “Queen ‘Alizbat’ (Elizabeth) England”. I believe this was a lovely tribute from the craftsmen at the time to the new Queen of England in 1952/53, somewhere between becoming Queen of England and HRH’s being crowned in 1953.
