This beautiful and most eye catching early 20th century Siam pottery lidded jar has a jewel like quality. It has been richly decorated with a very fine hand painted radiating diamond design which is separated throughout the body and lid with circular collars with different patterns. The workmanship in this exotic piece is superb. The decoration has first been outlined in lustrous gold and then filled in with thick enamels in a very rich palette of colours which include royal blue, red, white, yellow and turquoise over a white pottery ground. This splendid piece is in excellent original condition with no damage, wear or restoration. Circa 1920
