This is a fascinating African tribal medicine man carving with great character dating from around 1900. The figure has a really good decorative appeal with an unusual fan headdress in solid copper and a striking, beaten copper face mask that gives a great look. The figure has solid brass inset into the eyes and is hand carved in hardwood. This is in good condition overall and measures 42 cms high, 15 cms deep and 12 cms in diameter at the base.
