A vintage 1920s Hexameter pocket watch.
A vintage 1920s Hexameter pocket watch.
The watch has a 15 jewel Swiss stem-winding movement which is working well. The movement is signed with the Hexameter name… there is some thought that this could have been a private label name, or the UK import name, for Thommen watches but we can find no definitive evidence of this. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch itself measures 50.6mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case has light surface marking from use and a small "ding" to the top of the back but overall it is in nice condition for a 1920s piece.
The acrylic lens is in nice condition.
The white enamel dial is in beautiful condition, and has gold steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
