A Victorian Stick Barometer by Bithray
A Victorian rosewood stick barometer. Bone/Ivorine engraved dial with scale from 27 to 31. A vernier slide adjuster and a mercury bulb thermometer. The original cistern cover to the slim case with choice veneers. Circa 1850.
Bithray of Royal Exchange, London is recorded in Banfields' 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working from 1827-1860.
