A Pair Of 17th Century Panels - Minerva and Vulcan
A fine pair of 17th century carved walnut panels set in deeply molded pine frames.
The panels depict Minerva standing with a shield and spear and the other panel depicts Vulcan standing with a long robe and a large blacksmiths hammer.
Both panels have fantastic colour and patination and are in excellent condition.
Vulcan - Is the God of fire and is often depicted with a blacksmiths hammer.
Minerva - Is the Roman goddess of wisdom and strategic warfare.
