A Rare Late Medieval Beech And Iron Mounted Minnekastchen.

Of small proportions only 7" wide

Late 15th century.

Of plain Design with iron strap work hinges and side mounts.

It has had a hard life with signs of old worm and some of the iron mounts are missing but at 500yrs old we are lucky that it is still here.

Good colour and patina the back is untouched with a dry natural surface.

In overall good condition the corner iron strap on the facing left hand side of the lid is not firm and comes off .

So here we go the dimensions of this sweet little box is

7" wide

5" deep

4" high
