A lady’s 1930s Art Deco silver purse watch
A lady’s 1930s Art Deco silver purse watch by Sapho.
The watch has a signed Swiss movement, with 15 jewels and two adjustments, and it is working nicely.
The watch is housed in a silver case… the actual watch case is hallmarked for Birmingham 1934, while the outer case is hallmarked for Birmingham 1933 so there is an acceptable crossover in dates. When closed, the case measures 37mm x 37mm excluding the loop and crown. The outside of the case has charming engine turned detail to both the front and back. The push button within the loop releases the catch to open up the watch.
The watch glass is in beautiful condition.
The dial is in its original finish and it has plenty of Art Deco charm. The infill is missing from the hour hand. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
