A Georgian period mercury wheel barometer. A mahogany case of good proportions with an architectural top pediment and the original brass finial. Marquetry case inlays and banding to the case edging. A well engraved thermometer scale and main dial. Signed to the dial 'Catelly & Co Hereford'. Circa 1820.

The Catelly family of Hereford are recorded in Banfields 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working from 1820-1845.
