A Georgian Barometer by Falciola, Nottingham
A Georgian period mercury wheel barometer. A mahogany case with an architectural pediment and brass central finial. Marquetry shell inlays to the case. A long engraved silvered dial. The main dial is engraved 'A FALCIOLA NOTTINGHAM WARANTED'. Circa 1820.
A Falciola of Nottingham is recorded in Banfields 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working from 1810-1830.
