A gents 9 carat gold Enicar wrist watch, 1965
A gents 9 carat gold Enicar wrist watch, 1965.
The watch has a signed 17 jewel hand-winding movement, AR 171 (based on the ETA 2502), which is working nicely.
The watch measures 31.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Edinburgh 1965 with a maker’s mark for the British Watch Case Company. The case is in good condition, just very light surface marks to the back but nothing too detrimental at all.
The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in good condition with original hands, centre seconds hand and a date display at 6 o’clock. This is an early form of quickset where the hands are moved backwards and forwards repeatedly between 12 midnight and 9.30pm until the desired date is reached.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
