A gents 1950s Disel automatic wrist watch
A gents 1950s Disel automatic wrist watch.
The watch has an ETA 2451 automatic movement which is working nicely. It is a very good quality movement with 41 jewels and adjusted in three positions, and was the base calibre for the Tudor 2483 movement.
The watch itself measures 34.7mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated with a stainless steel case back. The case has light surface marking from use and light wear to the edges but overall it is in nice condition for a 1950s piece. The back of the watch states that it is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water.
The lens is in nice condition.
The dial is signed Disel 41 jewels, Automatic, Incabloc, unbreakable mainspring, Swiss made. The text 41 jewels has worn and the dial has the odd minor mark but overall it is in nice condition for a 1950s piece.
The watch has its original hands and centre seconds hand.
A new black leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
