A Carved Wooden Statue of Vishnu and Garuda
This is a very fine quality and superbly Carved Statue of the Hindu God Vishnu on the back of Garuda, the carving is known as “The Battle of Garuda” the carving has been made from one piece of wood and can be viewed from all sides as you can see through Garuda’s wings
This is beautiful old piece, it is carved in hard wood teak probably, the statue is in good condition, with only very minor chips and as you might expect and it is a bit grimy with age
The Carving is 17” high, 10” across 6” deep
