A 1950s Phenix wrist watch
A 1950s Phenix wrist watch.
The Phenix watch trademark was created in 1873 in Porrentruy, Switzerland.
The watch has a signed Phenix 130 Swiss 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The Phenix watch was entirely manufactured and assembled on site.
The watch itself measures 31.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs... it would suit a man with a slimmer wrist or would work nicely as a lady's watch. The case is gold plated with the thicker 20 microns of plate. The screw on case back is stainless steel… it states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water. Both the case and lens are in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish and it has a great look. There is a little marking but nothing too detrimental. Dauphine shaped hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE.

All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
