A 1930s Limit No 2 pocket watch.
A 1930s Limit No 2 pocket watch.
The watch has a Swiss signed stem-winding movement, made by Thommen for Limit… it is working nicely. The movement is signed Limit No2, Swiss made.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made in England by the Dennison Watch Case Company… the movements were often imported into the UK to be cased in readiness for onward retail. The case has a screw on front and back. The case has just light surface marks from use and the a couple of small "dings" to the outer edge, nothing serious at all.
The acrylic lens is in nice condition.
The signed white enamel dial is in very nice condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
