A 1920s 9 Carat Rose Gold Mid-size Wrist Watch
A 1920s 9 carat rose gold mid-size wrist watch.
The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement, possibly a Fleurier, which is working nicely.
The watch itself measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The watch would suit a man with a slimmer wrist or it would work nicely as a lady’s watch. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for Edinburgh (import mark) 1928. The case is in good condition for such an early piece, just a little marking and unevenness to the side from where the back has been opened in the past.
The white enamel dial has a most attractive appearance with Breguet style hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and minute markers picked out in gold paint.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
