A 1918 Equity pocket watch & chain.
A 1918 Equity pocket watch & chain.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with both the Equity Watch Co, Boston, 7 jewels. Equity was one of the names registered and used by Waltham. The serial number 21988854 which dates it back to 1917.
The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Giant model made by the Illinois Watch Case Company.The case has a screw on front and back. The case is in nice condition with only minor marking from use.
The acrylic lens is in good condition.
The dial is signed Waltham, U.S.A. and is in nice condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes on a vintage single albert chain which measures 23cm including the T bar and clasp.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
