A 1915 Elgin full hunter pocket watch and chain.
A 1915 Elgin full hunter pocket watch and chain.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 292, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the has the serial number 18516147 which dates it back to 1915. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch itself measures 50.3mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case has a couple of small “dings” but overall it is in nice condition with nice crisp engine turned detail to the front and back covers and a vacant cartouche to the front cover .
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is a glass lens which is in good condition.
The signed dial is in good condition. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes with a single chain which measures 30cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
