Pair of antique deep buttoned leather & mahogany Gainsborough armchairs in excellent original condition & dating from around the 1950’s period.

The seats & backs are deep buttoned & the leather is hand tacked onto the frames. They also have padded leather arms. The frames are polished mahogany & the frames are very strong. The legs are joined with cross stretchers which help keep the frames sturdy.

These chairs have generous proportions & the leather has loads of character. The colours shown on the site reflect the true colour which is a kind of Burgundy Brown. The original leather is also free from splits, tears & holes. They have just been colour enhanced & polished by our leather specialist.
