19th c American dressmaking trade sign
A rare example, possibly unique, of a 19th century American trade sign advertising the services of a dressmaker. This would have hung outside the shop around 1870-1890. The sign is double sided and metal with a textured finish. This would have hung from a bar that would have extended out from the shop. Another favourite of ours? We think so.
This is a very rare piece indeed.
