1960s Montblanc Monte Rosa Fountain Pen

We have for sale a lovely 1960s Montblanc Monte Rosa fountain pen.
This very elegant Montblanc fountain pen is formed from the famed Montblanc shiny and resilient black precious resin. It is furnished with chrome fittings and has diamond shaped ink windows to the barrel. The cap is completed by the distinctive white star to its apex.
The Montblanc Monte Rosa pens were named after the second highest peek in the Alps. They were the Montblanc 1960s mid range pens and were very popular becoming for a short time Montblanc's top selling fountain pen, outstripping that of the Meisterstuck.
This particular pen is fitted with its original fully flexible 585 14k nib. This is, as the name suggests, a very flexible nib, which writes with a fine line under slight pressure but easily splits under small increases in pressure to give a broader line. Perfect for accentuating curves and flourishes.
The pen is 135mm long and is in a very good to excellent condition, however there is some slight surface wear to the barrel and also some slight wear to the the left hand side of the nib. The pen is perfectly balanced, fills and writes beautifully and is a pleasure to use.
