A stylish, mid-20th century design, walnut sideboard with a maple-lined interior, forming part of a whole dining suite from the British quality furniture maker, Alfred Cox. Bearing the maker’s label, this is an exceptionally sturdy piece of quality furniture in superb, original condition. Raised on tapering legs and comprising four frieze drawers (one with baize-lined cutlery sections) above two pairs of double door cupboards. One cupboard providing excellent storage space with a ¾-width suspended shelf and the other cupboard divided into two sections – one side with a half-shelf and the other with space for storing bottles.
In superb, original condition with beautiful patterning to the walnut and only minimal fading to the top surface which does not detract from this extremely attractive piece.
