We have for sale a good 1940s Waterman's Shorthand fountain pen with a 14ct gold nib.

This pen is in black and the barrell marked Waterman's Made in England 503. The base of the barrel is also marked SHORTHAND in gold. The cap incorporates the characteristic red button used to denote the shorthand status and is finished with the art deco style gold plated stepped clip.The clip does show signs of some brassing. The pen is finished with the original 14kt gold fine nib marked Waterman's 14ct W-2A.

The pen is in a very good condition, other than some surface wear around the point of contact between the cap and the barrel and a some surface scratching. The fine flexible nib is in an excellent condition. The pen has been serviced, cleaned and a new sac has been fitted. The pen is approximately 130mm long.
