1940s Minerva stopwatch from Ahrens of Lucerne
1940s Minerva stopwatch from Ahrens of Lucerne.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, identified as a Minerva, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The stopwatch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel and it is in good condition with just general surface marks.
The lens is in lovely condition.
The dial is signed Ahrens, Lucerne, the original retailer of the watch. Otto Ahrens traded from 1903 until 1944 when his son took over the business. The dial is in lovely condition and has a 30 minute recording dial. The stopwatch is started and stopped by way of the sliding button to the side of the case.
The stopwatch comes in a new presentation box.
