A 1939 Longines manual wind wristwatch. A silvered dial with a matte effect finish. Applied gilt hour markers of alternating design, with Arabic numerals and pointed markers to the rest. Signed 'Swiss made ' below 6 o'clock. A subsidiary seconds dial. Applied Longines logo below 12. The hours and minutes are indicated by a variation of 'Alpha' hands.

An 'everbright' stainless steel case with champfered edges to the case and a light sloping towards the lugs. The watch is embossed to the back 'West End Watch Co', indicating this watch was supplied by Longines to its famous agent in India. This watch bears the reference 2875 16.

The watch is powered by a 17 jewel caliber 9L Longines mechanism. The 5m serial numbers date the watch to 1939.
