1930s Vertex pocket watch by Revue Thommen
1930s Vertex pocket watch by Revue Thommen.
The watch has a Revue stem-winding movement, signed Vertex, which is working nicely. Records show that Alphonse Thommen began using the Revue name at the beginning of the 1900s, and the name Vertex was registered in 1929 for watches sold in the UK. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is chrome plated and there is a small amount of rubbing to the back, and also to the bottom of the watch, probably where it has been sat in a pocket. Also some fairly shallow unevenness to the hinged case back.
The glass lens has small marks across it.
The signed dial is in lovely condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
