Stratton Stratnoid ship compact racing yachts. This Stratnoid compact should appeal to collectors of early Stratton compacts, foil & boats compacts too. The lid shows two racing yachts printed onto foil. It is in very good condition as it has been protected by a celluloid cover. The case opens easily to show the fan-shaped inner lid which rotates to allow access to powder. Everything works perfectly. It has a sprung thumb catch.The inner lid is very beautiful authentic Art Deco design! The compact is signed 'REG. DESIGN. No 767198 STATNOID MADE IN ENGLAND. The mirror is excellent & gives a perfect reflection. The base is marked 'MADE IN ENGLAND' & decorated with wavy parallel lines & is deliciously deco! Measures just over 2 " & weighs 44.2 grams.
