1925 Waltham Bartlett full hunter pocket watch
![](http://images.antiquesatlas.com/b_sold.png)
![](http://staticaz.antiquesatlas.com/images/loading_new.gif)
1925 Waltham Bartlett full hunter pocket watch.
The watch has a high grade stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement has nicely patterned plates, a starwheel patent regulator and jewelled pallets.
The Bartlett grade was named after Patten Sargeant Bartlett who was one of the early employees of the Boston Watch Company which went on to become the Waltham Watch Company. He subsequently left Waltham to work for the National Watch Company at Elgin Illinois but eventually returned to Waltham to work as a salesman before opening his own wholesale business.
As well as being fully signed, the movement carries the serial number 25,179,304 which dates it back to 1925. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a slight indentation and some surface marking.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and it was made by the Dennison Watch Case Company, a British company who supplied the majority of cases for Waltham UK. The case has three fairly small dents towards the edge of the case.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside the lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
Please contact us before placing international orders so that we can advise of shipping prices and to see if customs regulations allow us to post watches to your country.
The international buyer is responsible for paying any import duties and taxes.
All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.
Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the \'Buy Securely\' button on each listing page.
We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
